Fantech Echo Headset MH82 Review

Thanks for dropping by!  I’ll be making this review as concise and brief as I can. Since who likes to keep reading yada anyway? Not you. 😀

Headset name: FANTECH ECHO MH82

    • What kind of headset is it?   It is a gaming headset but it also works fine for calls and video conferences.

    • How much is it? I bought it for the price of $29 in Cambodia. That’s around PHP 1500.

    • Where can I buy it? You should be able to find it in electronic stores that normally sell gaming headsets but I am not sure whether you can easily find this in The Phils.  If not, Google is always available dear friend.

    • What features does it have?  (based on the headset box description)
      • Breathable ear cups
      • detachable microphone with noise-cancelling
      • lightweight for mobile use
      • 3.5 mm TRRS jack
      • 50 mm driver

2. What’s inside?   The headset comes with a detachable microphone, audio jack splitter adapter, velvet pouch,  and manual leaflet.IMG_20200331_200730

3. Details:

  • The microphone is detachable from the headphones.
  • The set comes with 3.5 mm audio jack splitter adapter.
  • The ear soft cushion paddings appear thick but softer, more hollow than you would expect.
  • The cushion on top for the head is quite thick and offers enough support.
  • Do note that the piece that holds this headset together is metal unlike the previously reviewed MPOW headset that is purely plastic so it broke when dropped to one-meter height.

Feedback:

  • If you are not keen on noise reduction and high sound quality, this headset should be perfect for daily usage with just the main audio jack.

  • Remember that this gaming headset is $30. It will offer you the worth of $30.

  • If you are using a pc, use the splitter to maximize the noise reduction feature of your computer.

  • Using a laptop and only one port for 3.5 mm? Use an independent soundcard. My laptop has only one port for audio jacks so I am using an independent soundcard from my previous headset hooked to the Echo MH82 and so far, I have not received any complains of electronic and outside noise.

Pros

✔️ Cushion /headset pad is comfortable for long usage. It doesn’t heat your ears as much as the MPOW headset previously reviewed.

✔️ Microphone adjustability

✔️ You can use it on your phone, laptop or pc.

✔️Metal support

✔️ Two (2m) meters cable length

Cons

❌ The single 3.5 mm jack offer less layer of noise reduction

❌Bulky
